Hilton Sofia hosts ‘Around the World in a Day’ charity event
There was a large turnout on June 7 to take part in the Around the World in a Day, hosted by the Hilton Sofia, to raise funds for the Cedar Foundation charity that assists children in need.
It was the third consecutive year that the Hilton Sofia hosts the event, with the aim of the initiative being to complete the circumference of the Earth twice, in just one day (40 075.16 kilometers).
Teams joined in various sporting activities – cycling and running among them – to notch up the share of kilometres.
The event was organised together with the Hilton’s worldwide partner, DM Thomas Foundation for Young People, dedicated to helping disadvantaged and vulnerable young people and children.
