Polish firms start pulling out from shale gas exploration
Polish companies, fuel group PKN Orlen and gas giant PGNiG, are slowly withdrawing from shale gas exploration, the daily Dziennik Gazeta Prawna reports.
Orlen has just returned one of the concessions near Hrubieszow, southeastern Poland and is left with eight out of the initial 10.
PGNiG, in turn, gave up four concessions and is left with 11.
