Pilot strike cancels 28 Lufthansa flights to and from Sofia

A total of 28 direct flights to and from Sofia have been cancelled as a result of the strike by the German pilots union, Lufthansa Group said.

The industrial action by Vereinigung Cockpit, planned for April 2-4, has prompted Lufthansa to “reduce its schedule significantly”, the airline said.

The airline cancelled 14 flights from Frankfurt and Munich to Sofia between the morning of April 2 and the evening of April 4. The corresponding 14 return flights from Sofia have been cancelled as well, including an early-morning flight to Munich on April 5.

Flights of the Lufthansa Group Airlines Eurowings, Air Dolomiti, Swiss, Austrian Airlines and Brussels Airlines are excepted from the strikes and schedule adjustments.
