What’s On: Tori Amos to play Sofia’s NDK in June 2014
Singer and songwriter Tori Amos will play a gig in Sofia’s National Palace of Culture (NDK) Hall 1 on June 20, event organisers EventEase said on March 6.
Amos, whose eclectic style ranges from classical to alternative rock and electronic music, will perform in Bulgaria for the first time as part of her Unrepentant Geraldines tour to promote her latest studio album of the same name, out in May.
The European leg of the tour will start in Ireland on May 5, followed by shows across the continent, with several Eastern European on the schedule – including Prague, Warsaw, St Petersburg, Moscow, Kyiv and Bucharest, before finally reaching Sofia. (To see all tour dates, visit Amos’ website.)
Announcing Unrepentant Geraldines in November 2013, Amos’ record label Universal Music described the album as “a return to her core identity as a creator of contemporary songs of exquisite beauty following a series of more classically-inspired and innovative musical projects of the last four years.”
Amos has sold more than 12 million records since her debut more than 20 years ago and has been nominated for and won several awards in different genres.
Tickets for the Sofia gig are sold at the NDK ticket booths and online at Eventim.bg, as well as partner stores.
