What’s On: Colombian reggaeton star J Balvin’s first concert in Sofia on April 4
Colombian reggaeton star J Balvin will have his first concert in Bulgaria at Hall 3 of the National Palace of Culture, NDK, on April 4 2014 at 8pm.
Best-known for his songs Tranquila and Sola, J Balvin was born José Álvaro Osorio Balvín in 1985 in Medellin, the largest city of Antioquia, where he first became interested in rap, dancehall, champeta and bachata at a young age.
His musical career began in 2004 when he recorded his first album with the group MDL Crew.
His first international hit was Yo Te Lo Dije and he reached number one on the radio charts with his song Sola. Balvin has more than 31 million views on YouTube and is among the most popular club hits in the United States and Europe.
In Bulgaria, Tranquila was one of the hottest hits of summer 2013 on the airwaves and on the club scene, organisers of the concert said.
