Kasparov makes move for chess presidency
Former world chess champion Garry Kasparov announced in Budapest on Sunday that he would run for president of the World Chess Federation (FIDE).
Kasparov, who said he wants “to raise chess to such a level where it could mean a lot to future generations”, was speaking at the 7th Aquaprofit-Polgár International Chess Festival in Művészetek Palotája.
