Change in law opens way for full privatisation of LOT Polish airlines
The decision on May 10 2013 by the Sejm, the lower house of Poland’s parliament, to lift a law on the ownership transformation of the Poland’s flagship airline PLL LOT under which the State Treasury had to hold at least a 51 per cent stake in LOT paves way for full privatisation of the carrier.
“It is a very good decision for the company. It makes LOT privatisation possible as before, in my opinion, it was not possible”, LOT president Sebastain Mikosz said on Friday. He said that the change in the law is a chance for the company’s development.
