Trojan Horse: tainted meat in beef lasagne in Hungary

Hungary was the latest member of the European Union to admit to prepared beef dishes tainted with horsemeat on Monday in a food scandal that is reaching across the continent to as far as Hong Kong.
“It was inevitable that Hungary would be unable to avoid the fallout from the horsemeat scandal,” Hungarian National Food Chain Security Office (Nébih) director György Pléva told state news agency MTI on Monday.
He revealed that beef lasagne containing horsemeat had found its way onto shop shelves.
