Whiskey Fest Sofia 2012
Bulgaria’s capital city Sofia is hosting the country’s first world whiskey festival until October 6 (and before anyone takes issue with that spelling, it is the one being used by the organisers).
The venue is the Central Military Club in Sofia, where various types of Scotch, Irish, American and Japanese whiskeys and bourbons are being presented. Guests of the event include whiskey experts, advocates, collectors and master distillers from Scotland, Ireland, the US and Bulgaria.
Whiskey (or whisky?) fans will have the opportunity to taste 30 different kinds of the spirits, to buy them at special prices and to acquire some special collectors’ editions. On October 5 the tasting starts at 5pm and on October 6 at 2pm.
Whiskey experts will hold master classes for enthusiasts, where they will reveal some secrets and will hold special tastings.
Tickets can be bought at the entrance of the Military Club.
