Lenny Kravitz postpones Sofia gig to 2013

US rock artist Lenny Kravitz has postponed his Sofia concert, scheduled for September 30, citing the shooting delay on a film as the reason, but promised to include Sofia on his tour in 2013.

In a post on his Facebook page, Kravitz said: “I have been looking forward to coming to Sofia all summer to play for my fans and very sorry that my concert there had to be postponed. I am currently in New Orleans working on a historical film called The Butler. The shooting schedule for the film has been extended and I am contractually bound to finishing it.”

“I promise that I will be in Sofia next year. Looking forward to seeing you all in 2013. Love, Lenny.”

Concert organisers Joker Media and Balkan Entertainment said on August 23 that tickets for the show can be returned and refunded at the ticket offices where they were bought. Tickets bought online can be returned at the offices of Eventim, the online ticketing service that sold them.

The Butler, due for release next year, is the story of a White House butler served eight American presidents over the course of three decades. Its cast includes Jane Fonda, Robin Williams, Alan Rickman, Cuba Gooding Jr., Liev Shreiber and John Cusack.
