Fire destroys restaurant, shops in Bulgaria’s Golden Sands
A large fire destroyed a restaurant and several shops at Bulgaria’s Black Sea resort of Golden Sands, public broadcaster Bulgarian National Radio said on July 30 2012.
There was significant damage but no injuries, the report said. Firefighters said that the blaze started in a wooden structure and spread quickly to surrounding buildings.
This is the second serious fire in two days. On July 29, fire destroyed a bus that had been carrying 45 Romanian tourists while the bus was travelling on the Black Sea coastal road near Obzor. No one was injured. The bus burnt out completely and led to serious traffic disruptions.
