‘Code Orange’ weather warning in seven Bulgarian districts because of scorching heat

A “Code Orange” warning of potentially hazardous weather is in effect on July 30 2012 for seven districts across Bulgaria.

The districts are Pleven, Lovetch, Veliko Turnovo, Rousse, Stara Zagora, Haskovo and Yambol. Maximum temperatures in these areas are expected to hit between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius.

The lesser code yellow is in effect for a number of other districts –  Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Kurdjali, Sliven, Turgovishte, Razgrad, Silistra, Dobrich, Varna, Bourgas, Gabrovo, Shoumen and Vratsa.
