Wiretapping scandal: Mass protest in Skopje demands Gruevski’s resignation

Hundreds of citizens protested in front of the government building in Skopje on the night of May 5, following the publication by the opposition of wiretapping materials about the killing of a young Macedonian, Martin Neskovski.

Leader of the Macedonian opposition, Zoran Zaev, published the wiretapped materials, that reveal conversations between the interior minister, Gordana Jankulovska, PM Nikola Gruevski and the head of Secret Services, Saso Mijalkov, in relation to the murder of a young man in 2011 by a police officer, during the celebrations of the victory of VMRO-DPMNE in the early parliamentary elections.
