Bulgaria’s exports in January – July 2026 up 8.5%, imports up 13.7% y/y

In January – July 2026, the total value of all the goods exported from Bulgaria was 27 144.6 million euro, 8.5 per cent more than in January – July 2025, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on September 11, citing provisional data.

In July 2026, Bulgaria’s total exports of goods added up to 4 063.0 million euro, an increase of 5.5 per cent compared with July 2025, the NSI said.

The total value of all the goods imported into Bulgaria in January – July 2026 was 34 539.6 million euro (at CIF prices), 13.7 per cent more than in January – July 2025.

In July 2026, Bulgaria’s total imports of goods increased by 8.5 per cent compared with July 2025, adding up to 5 089.9 million euro.

Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – imports CIF) was negative in January – July 2026, amounting to 7 395.0 million euro.

In July 2026, the total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – import CIF) was also negative, adding up to 1 026.9 million euro, the NSI said.
