Eurostat: Unemployment in Bulgaria in March 2026 was 3.2%

The unemployment rate in Bulgaria in March 2026 was 3.2 per cent, unchanged from February 2026 and down from 3.4 per cent in March 2025, European Union statistics agency Eurostat said on April 30, citing seasonally-adjusted data.

In March 2026, the euro area seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 6.2 per cent, down from 6.3 per cent in February 2026 as well as in March 2025, Eurostat said.

The EU unemployment rate was 6.0 per cent in March 2026, stable compared with February 2026 and with March 2025. 

In March 2026, the youth unemployment rate was 15.4 per cent in the EU, up from 15.3 per cent in the previous month, and 14.9 per cent in the euro area, stable compared with February 2026.

In Bulgaria, youth unemployment in March 2026 was 12.5 per cent, unchanged from February 2026 and up from 11.6 per cent in March 2025, Eurostat said.
