French, US military personnel to transit Bulgaria
French military personnel and equipment will be travelling on Bulgaria’s national road network on April 15, Bulgaria’s Defence Ministry said on April 14.
The French military are part of the Multinational Battle Group in Romania, where they are returning after participating in joint training with the Multinational Battle Group in Bulgaria.
The transportation of military personnel, military equipment, weapons and material resources will be carried out from the Novo Selo training range to Romania, with the convoys being escorted by Military Police teams.
The Defence Ministry said that on April 14 and 15, US military personnel and equipment will be transported along the national road infrastructure.
The convoy will travel from Greece to Germany. In Bulgaria, it will be escorted by Military Police teams.
In the coming days, the transportation of material resources of the armed forces of Sweden will also be carried out via rail from Greece to Romania, the ministry said.
