Bulgarian Navy team removes drone from Nessebur beach

A specialist team from the Bulgarian Navy’s Bourgas base removed a drone that had washed ashore on Nessebur’s southern beach on April 14, the Defence Ministry said.

The team transported the drone to the Bourgas Naval Base.

It was found that it does not contain explosive elements and does not pose a danger, the Defence Ministry said.

This is the latest drone-related incident on Bulgaria’s Black Sea beaches.

On April 12, a Bulgarian Navy team destroyed four shells recovered from a vessel found on the beach of the town of Sinemorets.

In successive incidents on April 2 and 3, Bulgarian Navy specialist teams removed drone parts and a drone from the Black Sea, according to a Defence Ministry statement.
