Bulgaria’s exports in January – June 2026 up 8.5%, imports up 14.4% y/y

In January – June 2026, the total value of all the goods exported from Bulgaria amounted to 22 968.4 million euro, 8.5 per cent more than in January – June 2025, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on August 12, citing preliminary data.

In June 2026, the total exports of goods added up to 4 164.8 million euro, an increase of 13.7 per cent compared with June 2025, the NSI said.

The total value of all the goods imported into Bulgaria in January – June 2026 was 29 381.2 million euro (at CIF prices), 14.4 per cent more than in January – June 2025.

In June 2026, the total imports of goods increased by 22.1 per cent compared with June 2025, adding up to 5 175.5 million euro.

Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – imports CIF) was negative in January – June 2026, amounting to 6 412.8 million euro.

In June 2026, Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – import CIF) was also negative, adding up to 1 010.7 million euro, the NSI said.
