Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry warns of national strike in Portugal on June 3
A national 24-hour strike will be held in Portugal on June 3 2026, Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry said.
Difficulties are expected in air, rail and sea transport in the country, including city bus lines and the metro in Lisbon and Porto, the ministry said.
Educational and medical institutions, post offices and government departments may not function or operate at reduced capacity, it said.
The ministry recommended that Bulgarian citizens residing in Portugal or planning a trip to the country on June 3 monitor the latest information on the official websites of the relevant airports, transport operators and state institutions.
