Earthquake of 4.7 Richter scale near Greece’s Xánthi shakes Bulgaria’s Plovdiv

An earthquake of 4.7 on the Richter scale on November 5, 12km from Greece’s Xánthi was felt in Bulgaria’s city of Plovdiv, 110km from the epicentre.

The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said that the quake happened at 9.16am and had a depth of seven km.

Plovdiv media said that Bulgarians commented on social media that they felt it very strongly in the Rhodope Mountains.
