Bulgaria’s exports in January – November 2024 down 3.2%, imports up 0.2% y/y

In January – November 2024, the total value of all the goods exported from Bulgaria amounted to 77 837.9 million leva, 3.2 per cent less than in January – November 2023, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on January 13, citing preliminary data.

In November 2024. the total exports of goods added up to 6 891.2 million leva, a decrease of 4.8 per cent compared with November 2023.

The total value of all the goods imported into Bulgaria in January – November 2024 was 89 505.3 million leva (at CIF prices), 0.2 per cent more than in January – November 2023.

In November 2024 the total imports of goods increased by 0.9 per cent compared with November 2023, adding up to 8 675.9 million leva.

Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – imports CIF) was negative in January – November 2024, amounting to 11 667.4 million leva.

In November 2024 the total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – import CIF) was also negative, adding up to 1784.7 million leva, the NSI said.
