Bulgarian railways announces another Christmas steam train trip
In addition to the Christmas steam train trips it has already announced, Bulgarian state railways BDZ is organising another one, on December 21.
The December 21 steam train trip is a return journey from Gorna Oryahovitsa to Pleven
The train, pulled by the 16.27 steam engine, will consist of six thematically decorated carriages – five for passengers and one retro carriage from the Vitosha Express government train, where Father Christmas and Snow Whie will welcome children with gifts.
During the Christmas train’s stay in Pleven, before its return trip to Gorna Oryahovitsa, those who wish will have enough time to see the special carriage from the retro train, take photographs with Father Christmas and Snow White and immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere in the city by visiting the Christmas town and bazaar on the central square.
The Christmas train will depart from the station in Gorna Oryahovitsa at 9.15am and will arrive in Pleven at 11.40am.
On the return journey, the train will depart from Pleven at 2.25pm and arrive in Gorna Oryahovitsa at 4.45pm.
The price of the ticket for travel in both directions Gorna Oryahovitsa – Pleven – Gorna Oryahovitsa is 55 leva and includes a reserved seat.
For children up to 10 years old, tickets cost 27.50 leva.
