Eurostat: Unemployment in Bulgaria in October 2024 was 4%
The unemployment rate in Bulgaria in October 2024 was four per cent, unchanged from September 2024 and down from 4.4 per cent in October 2023, European Union statistics agency Eurostat said on December 2, citing seasonally-adjusted figures.
October 2024 was the third consecutive month that unemployment in Bulgaria was four per cent.
The EU unemployment rate was 5.9 per cent in October 2024, also stable compared with September 2024 and down from 6.1 per cent in October 2023.
In October 2024, the euro zone seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 6.3 per cent, stable compared with September 2024 and down from 6.6 per cent in October 2023.
The youth unemployment rate in Bulgaria was 11.9 per cent in October 2024, unchanged from September 2024 and down from 13.7 per cent in October 2023, Eurostat said.
In October 2024, the youth unemployment rate was 15.2 per cent in the EU, down from 15.3 per cent in September 2024, and 15 per cent in the euro zone, up from 14.9 per cent in the previous month.
