Mainly sunny weather forecast for Bulgaria’s Independence Day long weekend

Sunny weather will prevail throughout Bulgaria’s three-day long weekend from September 21 to 23, according to the country’s national weather bureau.

In 2024, Independence Day on September 22 is on a Sunday, so September 23 is a special public holiday.

The weather bureau said that in the mornings, there would be low clouds and reduced visibility in places in the lowlands and the valleys.

There would be partly cloudy weather around and after noon, but the chance of rain is low, according to the weather bureau.

Bulgaria’s capital city Sofia is set for a forecast high of 20 deg C on Saturday, 21 deg C on Sunday and 22 deg C on Monday.
