Eurostat: Unemployment in Bulgaria in September 2023 was 4.5%

Unemployment in Bulgaria in September 2023 was 4.5 per cent, unchanged from August 2023 and up from four per cent in September 2022, European Union statistics agency Eurostat said on November 3, citing seasonally-adjusted figures.

Across the EU, unemployment in September 2023 was six per cent, unchanged from August 2023 and down from 6.1 per cent in September last year, Eurostat said.

In the euro zone, unemployment in September this year was 6.5 per cent, up from 6.4 per cent in August and down from 6.7 per cent in September 2022.

Youth unemployment in Bulgaria in September 2023 was 11.4 per cent, down from 11.8 per cent in August and up from 9.8 per cent in September last year.

EU average youth unemployment in September this year 14.2 per cent, up from 14.1 per cent in August and down from 15.1 per cent in September 2022.

In the euro zone, youth unemployment in September was 14 per cent, up from 13.9 per cent in August and down from 15.1 per cent in September 2022, Eurostat said.
