Direct flights to Wroclaw, Oslo and Riyadh in Sofia Airport’s summer schedule
Sofia Airport’s summer schedule offers passengers a choice of 77 scheduled and 19 charter destinations, the airport said in a media statement on March 26.
The flights are the result of SOF Connect’s programme to expand its flight network and provide convenient connections and transfer flights, the statement said.
In the summer programme, 21 scheduled airlines will fly from Sofia, while six air carriers have requested charter flights.
As soon as the new schedule comes into effect, Ryanair will begin flights to the Polish city of Wroclaw.
The first flight will be on March 27, and there will be flights twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
The airport said that Ryanair had added Rhodes to the airport’s summer programme. Flights start from June 3 on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Wizz Air is also adding two new destinations to Sofia Airport’s summer schedule, flights to Yerevan and Riyadh. The Armenian capital will be served on Wednesdays and Sundays from April 30. Direct flights to Saudi Arabia/Riyadh will also operate twice a week from April 23, again on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Another new destination in Sofia Airport’s 2023 summer schedule is the Norwegian capital, Oslo. Scheduled flights will be operated by Norwegian Air Shuttle, which is a new airline for the airport. Flights to the Norwegian capital will be operated every Wednesday and Saturday from June 24.
Sofia Airport said that it was continuing negotiations with other air carriers to provide more offers to passengers.
