Covid-19 in Bulgaria: In past day, 79 deaths, 1892 new cases
Seventy-nine people in Bulgaria who had tested positive for Covid-19 died in the past day, bringing the country’s death toll linked to the disease to 19 955, according to the September 18 report by the unified information portal.
Of 25 189 tests in the past day, 1892 – about 7.51 per cent – proved positive.
To date, 480 777 cases of new coronavirus have been confirmed in Bulgaria, of which 38 980 are active, a decrease of 669 in the number of active cases in the past day, according to the report.
The report said that in the past day, 2432 were registered as having recovered, bringing the total to 421 842.
There are 4649 patients with Covid-19 in hospital, an increase of 22 in the past day, with 395 in intensive care, a decrease of one.
Twenty-nine medical personnel tested positive in the past day, bringing the total to 14 214.
The report said that in the past day, 10 450 doses of vaccines had been administered in Bulgaria, bringing the total to 2 458 928.
A total of 1 272 680 people in Bulgaria have completed the vaccination cycle, including 7506 in the past day.
