Bulgaria’s exports in 2016 were 2.6% higher than 2015 – NSI
Bulgaria’s exports in 2016 were 2.6 per cent higher than in 2015, but exports to non-EU countries dropped by 5.9 per cent and the overall trade balance was negative, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on February 9.
In 2016, the total value of all goods exported from Bulgaria to both EU and non-EU countries was 46 104.9 million leva, the NSI said, citing preliminary figures.
In December 2016, Bulgaria’s total exports added up to 3 975.0 million leva, about 15.1 per cent more than in December 2015.
The total value of all the goods imported into Bulgaria in 2016 was 51 005.8 million leva (at CIF prices), or 1.1 per cent less than 2015.
