Poland’s Supreme Court rules against Polanski’s extradiction
Oscar-winning Polish-born filmmaker Roman Polanski will not be extradited if he travels to Poland, the country’s Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday rejecting the chief prosecutor and justice minister, Zbigniew Ziobro’s request to revive the earlier verdict.
The Supreme Court’s ruling, according to which Polanski’s extradition is legally inadmissible, is not subject to appeal.
Polanski is wanted by American authorities for a 1977 child sex conviction.
