EU Commissioner Hahn in Skopje: Elections must be held, the country is ready
EU Commissioner for Enlargement Johannes Hahn said in Skopje on October 14 that the Republic of Macedonia is ready to hold elections in December. He emphasised this after he held meetings with the leaders of the four main political parties and Special Prosecutor, Katica Janeva.
Hahn said that he has identified a will among political leaders for the implementation of the Przino Agreement.
“For us, the elections are very important, but I must say that the elections are not everything. The elections are important to drive the country toward the European Atlantic integration path, but the urgent reforms are equally important along with the Przino Agreement.”
