Four Polish Frontex officers injured in accident on Sofia boulevard

Four Polish officers from European border agency Frontex were slightly injured in a collision with a public transport tram in the Bulgarian capital city Sofia’s Hristo Botev Boulevard on September 6, Bulgarian National Radio said.

The incident happened just before 9am, as the Frontex 4×4 and the tram collided.

While the Polish border staff were slightly injured, no one in the tram was injured.

Traffic in the area was disrupted because of the collision, BNR said.

The four are among the contingent from Frontex deployed to Bulgaria to assist in guarding the EU’s external border.
