Joint Bulgarian-Greek traffic control teams in border regions
Joint teams of Bulgarian and Greek police are to control traffic in the regions of the border between the two countries from August 5 to October 30 2016, the Bulgarian Interior Ministry said.
During this time, the teams will monitor the roads for speeding motorists, hazardous overtaking, drink-driving, smuggling of goods and the transport of people without valid residence papers and will check the validity of the documents of drivers and vehicles, the Interior Ministry said.
Joint inspections will be carried out in the regions of the border checkpoints at Kulata – Promachonas, Ilinden – Exochi, Svilengrad – Ormenio, Ivailovgrad – Kyprinos, Zlatograd – Termes and Makaza – Nymphaea.
