Two Sofia – Brussels flights cancelled after terrorist attack at Zaventem Airport

Two flights linking Sofia and Brussels that had been scheduled for March 22 2016 had been cancelled, Sofia Airport said a few hours after the terrorist attacks at Brussels’ Zaventem Airport.

The cancelled flights are FB407 from Sofia to Brussels, which had been scheduled for 5.40pm, and FB 408 from Zaventem to Sofia, which had been scheduled for 11.55pm.

Bulgaria’s Border Police confirmed on March 22 that security had been stepped up at all airports in Bulgaria, including the deployment of additional security staff and sniffer dogs.
