Polanski will not be extradited to US
Appellate prosecutor’s office in the southern Polish city of Cracow said Friday they would not appeal against a court decision denying the extradition of Oscar-winning filmmaker Roman Polanski to the United States over a 1977 child sex conviction.
Having analyzed the justification prepared by the court, the district prosecution in Cracow said in a statement published on the prosecution office’s website on Friday that the Oct. 30 decision by a Cracow court “to refuse to hand Roman Polanski over to US authorities was justified.”
