Cinema theme of festival of sand sculptures in Rousse

Marie Antoinette, Charlie Chaplin, Prometheus and Indiana Jones are among those arrayed on the Bulgarian bank of the Danube in the city of Rousse.

Or at least, their images in sand are, and will be there on display until the end of summer.

The display continues even though Rousse’s first International Festival of Sand Sculptures has officially closed, with 10 sculptors from six countries having participated in creations on the “cinema” theme of the festival.
