Apocalyptica to open Sounds of the Ages festival in Plovdiv in September 2015
Finnish metal band Apocalyptica will be at Plovdiv’s Ancient Theatre on September 18 2015 to open the fifth Sounds of the Ages festival.
This will be Apocalyptica’s return to the Ancient Theatre 16 years after their concert there.
Formed in 1993, Apocalyptica have sold more than four million albums to date. Their eighth studio album, titled Shadowmaker, is scheduled for an April 17 2015 release.
The concert was announced by the organisers of Sounds of The Ages, Tangra Mega Rock.
The organisers said that the event this year would last three or four days, and current negotiations with several international bands were expected to be finalised in a few weeks.
It is expected that tickets for Apocalyptica’s Plovdiv concert will go on sale next week, with prices and purchase details to be announced then.
