Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk files resignation
Polish prime minister Donald Tusk has tendered his resignation as he prepares for the European Council Presidency he will assume as of December 1.
“I’ve handed the papers [to President Komorowski],” Tusk told reporters on September 9 after the National Security Council (RBN) sitting.
President Bronislaw Komorowski will formally accept Tusk’s resignation on Thursday at 2pm, presidential spokesperson Joanna Trzaska-Wieczorek said.
