Ice rink opens in Plovdiv on December 21

An open-air ice rink is expected to open in central Plovdiv on December 21 2013.

Building of the ice rink in Central Square has begun and will take about two to three days to complete, with a delay in opening possible only if temperatures do not remain sufficiently low.

The ice rink will remain open until late February or early March 2014.

Admission will cost five leva, with no limit on the time spent on the ice, apart from the closing time of 10pm.

Children younger than seven will have to be accompanied on the ice by an adult.

People who are inebriated will not be admitted and consumption of alcohol will not be allowed while on the ice.
