The American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham) said that it has raised 68 000 leva for charity so far this year, including 38 000 at the AmCham Thanksgiving dinner on November 25.

The money will go towards two programmes – Bulgarian Charities Aid Foundation’s (BCAF) Get Ready to Succeed project, which provides scholarships for pupils and students without parents, and a start-up fund supporting small projects for social integration of vulnerable youth.

AmCham member companies – Dundee Precious Metals, Fama Consulting, UniCredit Bulbank, and VM Finance Group – have also made donations for scholarships worth 28 000 leva, AmCham said.

Companies and individuals who would like to further support AmCham’s efforts to help young people in need can contact the AmCham office at +359 2974 2743.
