San Leon’s shale well results in Poland exceed expectations
Exploration and extraction company San Leon Energy Tuesday said it has completed fracking tests in Poland, with the well’s behavior exceeding expectations.
The firm has conducted successful refracking of its Lewino-1G2 well in northern Poland, and recorded initial gas flows, the company said.
“Gas was flared continually for the duration of the initial clean up period,” the company said, adding the period lasted around a week.
“The behavior of the well during these fracture treatments and throughout the subsequent initial clean-up period has far exceeded expectations, and we look forward to finishing the clean up after running the well completion, and to the subsequent flow testing,” Executive Chairman Oisin Fanning said.
