Fifth annual edition of Sofia Dance Week
The fifth annual edition of the international dance festival Sofia Dance Week will be held in Sofia between September 29 and October 6.
Each year it includes a minimum of 7 international dance spectacles, representative of the modern dance trends. The parallel programme includes workshops, open air events, lectures, screenings and discussions, a special module for children with spectacles and workshops.
This year the participants will include Delervez, Pierre Rigal, Liquid Loft, Stephanie Thiersch, Thomas Noone Dance, etc.
Sofia Dance Week starts in 2008. Its goal is to present the most interesting phenomena in the contemporary dance practices, the newest and the most established names in the field. Educational modules for professionals and amateurs are aimed at stimulating the local scene and environment and at developing new audiences. Part of the forum mission is to involve art orientated potential urban public into experiencing this artistic form which gains more and more popularity worldwide.
