Eurostat: Bulgaria’s unemployment rate in July 2026 was 3.6%

The unemployment rate in Bulgaria in July 2026 was 3.6 per cent, up from 3.5 per cent in June 2026 and down from 3.8 per cent in July 2025, European Union statistics agency Eurostat said on September 1, citing seasonally adjusted data.

In July 2026, the euro area seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 6.4 per cent, stable compared with June 2026 and up from 6.3 per cent in July 2025, Eurostat said.

The EU unemployment rate was 6.1 per cent in July 2026, also stable compared with June 2026 and up from six per cent in July 2025.

In July 2026, the youth unemployment rate was 15.1 per cent in the EU, down from 15.6 per cent in the previous month, and 14.9 per cent in the euro area, also down from 15 per cent in June 2026.

Eurostat said that in Bulgaria in July 2026, youth unemployment was 14.1 per cent, up from 13.6 per cent in June 2026 and down from 15.5 per cent in July 2025.
