Eurostat: Unemployment in Bulgaria in June 2026 was 3%

The unemployment rate in Bulgaria in June 2026 was three per cent, up from 2.9 per cent in May 2026 and down from 3.6 per cent in June 2025, European Union statistics agency Eurostat said on July 30, citing seasonally adjusted figures.

In June 2026, the euro area seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 6.3 per cent, stable compared with May 2026 as well as with June 2025, Eurostat said.

The EU unemployment rate was six per cent in June 2026, also stable compared with May 2026 as well as with June 2025.

 In June 2026, the youth unemployment rate was 15.5 per cent in the EU, up from 15.4 per cent in the previous month, and 14.8 per cent in the euro area, down from 14.9 per cent in May 2026.

In Bulgaria, the youth unemployment rate in June 2026 was 12.6 per cent, up from 11.6 per cent in May 2026 and down from 15.1 per cent in June 2025, Eurostat said.
