Eurostat: House sales in Bulgaria in 2025 down 2.5% y/y

House sales in Bulgaria in 2025 were 2.5 per cent lower than in 2024, European Union statistics agency Eurostat said on July 6.

In 2025, house sales in the EU increased in most countries for which data are available, compared with 2024, Eurostat said.

The number of transacted dwellings decreased in three out of the 18 EU countries covered by the available data.

Decreases were observed in Croatia (-4.1 per cent), Bulgaria (-2.5 per cent) and Poland (-1.1 per cent).

The largest increases were recorded in Slovenia (29.9 per cent), Lithuania (22.8 per cent) and Austria (21.4 per cent).

The data on housing transactions covers the transactions of new and existing dwellings (apartments and houses) where the buyer is a household, Eurostat said.
