Bulgarian Air Force F-16s in exercise at Sofia Airport
Bulgarian multi-role F-16 fighters conducted training flights at Vassil Levski Airport in Sofia today, March 10, the Defence Ministry said.
The purpose of the flights was to prepare the flight crew for performing tasks with an approach for landing at civilian airports from the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
During the day, the crews carried out planned flight activity with low-level overflights, both single and in pairs, over the civilian airport in the capital.
The flights are entirely for the needs of the Bulgarian Air Force and are not related to the events in the Middle East, the ministry said.
