Bulgaria’s Employment Agency: Applications for work permits for non-EU nationals now submitted online only
Bulgaria’s Employment Agency said on July 21 that it is switching solely to electronic submission of documents for access to the labour market for third-country, meaning non-EU, nationals.
The agency said that this is in connection with changes that entered into effect on July 21 to the regulations for the implementation of the Labour Migration and Labour Mobility Act.
“From this date, the documents for the procedures for issuing a work permit, performing freelance activities and registering short-term employment will be processed entirely electronically through the electronic platforms designated for the purpose,” the agency said.
The documents should be signed with a qualified electronic signature by the employer’s representative or a person authorised by the employer.
When they are submitted by a proxy, a power of attorney must be attached to them.
Electronic links, solely in Bulgarian, are available on the website of the Employment Agency.
