Bulgaria’s exports in January – April 2026 up 7.3%, imports up 11.8% y/y

In January – April 2026, the total value of all the goods exported from Bulgaria amounted to 15 085.6 million euro, 7.3 per cent more than in January – April 2025, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on June 11, citing preliminary data.

In April 2026, the total exports of goods added up to 3 959.1 million euro, an increase of 13.4 per cent compared with April 2025.

The total value of all the goods imported into Bulgaria in January – April 2026 was 19 529.8 million euro (at CIF prices), 11.8 per cent more than in January – April 2025.

In April 2026, the total imports of goods increased by 18.8 per cent compared with April 2025, adding up to 5 251.3 million euro.

Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – imports CIF) was negative in the period January – April 2026, amounting to 4 444.2 million euro.

In April 2026, Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – import CIF) was also negative, adding up to 1 292.2 million euro.
