Bulgaria’s exports in 2024 fell 3.3%, imports rose 0.3%

In 2024, the total value of all the goods exported from Bulgaria amounted to 84 047.2 million leva, 3.3 per cent less than in 2023, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on February 10.

In December 2024, the total exports of goods added up to 6 209.3 million leva, a decrease of 3.9 per cent compared with December 2023, the NSI said.

The total value of all the goods imported into Bulgaria in 2024 was 97 389.1 million leva (at CIF prices), 0.3 per cent more than in 2023.

In December 2024, the total imports of goods increased by 1.2 per cent compared with December 2023, adding up to 7 883.8 million leva.

Bulgaria’s total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – imports CIF) was negative in 2024, amounting to 13 341.9 million leva.

In December 2024, the total foreign trade balance (exports FOB – import CIF) was also negative, adding up to 1 674.5 million leva.
