Bulgaria’s Bansko to open ski area on December 6

The ski area in Bulgaria’s Bansko mountain resort is to open earlier than planned, on December 6, according to the resort’s official website.

“All slopes will be open except Chalin Valog and the Ski Road to Bansko. They are groomed and in excellent condition,” the website said.

Details of ticket and ski pass prices, valid only until December 19, are available on the website.

Snow cover on Todorka is reported to be 120cm and on Banderishka Polyana 50cm.

The official launch of the winter season in Bansko will take place on December 14.

Guest star will be the Austrian legend in alpine skiing Michael Walchhofer. Another guest at the opening ceremony in Bansko will be the five-time winner of the Great Crystal Globe Marc Girardelli.

The mountain resort of Pamporovo is opening its 2024/25 winter season on December 7 with promotional prices for daily ski passes. Details are available on the official website.

Borovets has not yet announced when it will open the 2024/25 season, but details of ticket and lift pass prices are on its official website.
