Eurostat: Unemployment in Bulgaria in August 2024 was 4%
The unemployment rate in Bulgaria in August 2024 was four per cent, unchanged from the figure in July 2024 and down from 4.5 per cent in August 2023, European Union statistics agency Eurostat said on October 2, citing seasonally-adjusted figures.
The EU unemployment rate was 5.9 per cent in August 2024, down from 6.0 per cent in July 2024 as well as in August 2023, Eurostat said.
In August 2024, the euro zone seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 6.4 per cent, stable compared with July 2024 and down from 6.6 per cent in August 2023.
Youth unemployment in Bulgaria in August 2024 was 11 per cent, down from 11.7 per cent in July 2024 and from 13.7 per cent in August 2023, Eurostat said.
In August 2024, the youth unemployment rate was 14.3 per cent in the EU, down from 14.5 per cent in July 2024, and 14.1 per cent in the euro zone, down from 14.2 per cent in the previous month.
